Israeli Defence Minister Avigdor Lieberman has visited Georgia for the first time today.
Georgia and Israel have signed an official document that will strengthen defence cooperation between the two countries, Georgian Defence Minister Levan Izoria stated.

Lieberman has also expressed willingness to share Israel’s experience in developing a military reserve system and cybersecurity with Georgia.

Avigdor Lieberman will also meet with Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze during his visit.
Georgia and Israel are launching a feasibility study on further expanding the investment ties between the two countries and to increase awareness of Georgia’s investment opportunities in Israeli business society.
Georgia and Israel are discussing the possibility of establishing joint information technology (IT) ventures. Georgia’s Economy Minister Dimitry Kumsishvili spoke with representatives of Israeli companies during his official visit to Israel.
2017 marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and Israel.
