Georgia is covering its airspace with up-to-date technology to provide surveillance coverage all over the country.
Modern civil aviation surveillance infrastructure has been installed in Georgia’s capital of Tbilisi and the towns of Gudauri, Bakuriani and Tsnori, announces Georgian Air Navigation.
More specifically, Georgian Air Navigation installed Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B) in these areas that aim to improve high flight level coverage for all domestic and international flights.
Georgian Air Navigation purchased ADS-B from Czech company ERA.
Similar systems have been successfully functioning in the western towns of Batumi, Poti and Kutaisi, announced Georgian Air Navigation.
