Infantry patrol police have arrested one individual born in 1997 for attempted robbery on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.
The individual was out on parole, and faces five to 10 seven years imprisonment if convicted.
The individual was arrested when the infantry patrol saw him threatening an Azerbaijani citizen with a knife for money.
The patrol police officers, a new addition to Tbilisi law enforcement, have started working in May. Already 80 infantry patrol police inspectors are walking around the streets of Tbilisi where nightlife is active to ensure the security of tourists and locals.
