The Blockchain for Enterprise conference took place in Amsterdam on June 27-28 this week where a presentation displayed how Georgia successfully implemented blockchain technology in real estate registration.

At the conference Head of Project Management Department at the National Agency of Public Registry Mariam Turashvili discussed Georgia’s experience of introducing blockchain technology into real estate registration transactions.

She also talked about smart contracts that Georgia is going to introduce in real estate registration to make the process transparent and efficient.

"Georgia is one of the first countries in the world that used blockchain technology in real estate registration. Recent data shows that information about more than 1,310,000 extracts from the National Agency of Public Registry have been sent to the blocking-database”, said Turashvili at the conference.
