Two young jazz artists will represent Georgia at a musical performance launching the fifth edition of the Eastern Partnership summit in Brussels later this month.

Mikheil Japaridze and Irakli Tcholadze will showcase their talents in a jam session of musicians from countries of the Partnership on November 23.

Performing on double bass and drums respectively, they will be joined by fellow artists from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Moldova, Armenia and Ukraine for the event titled Stronger Together.

The two-part concert is hosted as a "unique occasion where culture and politics will meet and stand for our common values”, said organisers.

Japaridze and Tcholadze will be led in the show by New York-based jazz pianist and composer Amina Figarova.

Set to be streamed live online through the official website of the BOZAR Centre for Fine Arts in Brussels, the show will also be broadcast in the city’s Le Berger by Vini Divini cafe.

The event is coordinated from Georgia by the Kavkaz Jazz Festival, which has hosted the Georgian artists in past performances.

The November 23 concert will mark a prelude to this year’s summit of Eastern Partnership, European Union’s initiative for governing its relations with six partner countries including Georgia.
