8 IDP families receive new flats in central Georgia

Eight internally displaced families from Georgia’s Russian occupied regions of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) have received new apartments today in Borjomi, Samtskhe-Javakheti region of Georgia.

Georgia’s Deputy Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees Grigol Giorgadze and majoritarian deputy of Borjomi's Gedevan Popkhadze gave keys to their new owners.

For several years, 55 IDP families lived in the old wrecked building of sanatorium. All of them have been resettled to new apartments, while these 8 families were waiting for their turn.
