Georgia’s Permanent Representative to United Nations (UN) Kaha Imnadze has been appointed as co-chair of the intergovernmental negotiations on UN Security Council reform.

President of the General Assembly Miroslav Lajcak shared this information with the permanent representatives and observers to the UN.
I would like to thank Ambassador Imnadze and Nusseibeh for having accepted this very important responsibility and I have no doubt that you will extend your full support and cooperation to them”, Lajcak said in a letter.
Imnadze will chair of the intergovernmental negotiations together with his colleague from The United Arab Emirates Lana Zaki Nusseibeh.
