403,214 GEL from world football stars match will help restore burnt Borjomi forest

A unique charity match between the all-time football stars has ended with a score of six to five as the "World XI” team defeated "GFF XI” at Tbilisi Dinamo Arena today.
403,214 GEL gathered from the proceeds for the event will now be spent on the restoration of the forest burnt in Borjomi Gorge in August.

Rivaldo, Luca Toni, Francesco Totti, Dida, Paolo Maldini, Sébastien Frey, Mauro Tassotti, Massimo Oddo, Vincent Candela, Dario ŠimiÄ, Pietro Vierchowod, Enrico Annoni, Míchel Salgado, Javier Zanetti, Ibrahim Ba, Massimo Ambrosini, Dino Baggio, Luigi Di Biagio, Marek Jankulovski, Angelo Di Livio, Benito Carbone, Marco Delvecchio will play against Andriy Shevchenko, Christian Abbiati, Sebastiano Rossi, Iván Córdoba, Kafu, Giuseppe Favalli, Alessandro Costacurta, Hernán Crespo, Kevin Kurányi, Zvonimir Boban, Kakha Kaladze, Zura Khizanishvili, Alexandre Amisulashvili, Kakhaber Tskhadadze, Aleksandre Iashvili, Giorgi Kinkladze, Levan Kobiashvili, Gocha Jamarauli, Giorgi Demetradze, Levan Tskhitishvili, Mikheil Kavelashvili were the Georgian and international football players who, united under "GFF XI” and "World XI” teams played a friendly match in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi to contribute to the restoration of the Borjomi forest.
The football stars were invited by GFF immediately after the massive forest fire happened in Borjomi Gorge that burnt for seven days before being put out in late August.
Georgian capital of Tbilisi will become the venue of a unique charity match between the all-time football stars who will play at Tbilisi Dinamo Arena on September 29.
The charity match between the world stars united under "World XI” and "GFF XI” teams is scheduled for 9 pm. The money gathered from the sales for the event will be spent on the restoration of the forest burnt in Borjomi Gorge in August.
