Several Georgian dishes have been added to the menu of the restaurant of the Parliament of the United Kingdom, says the Georgian Foreign Ministry.
The British Parliament hosted a Georgian cuisine week in early September and once it was ended, it was decided that some of the Georgian dishes would remain on the menu permanently, the Ministry said.
The Georgian cuisine week, named ‘A Taste Adventure to Georgia’, was organised by the Georgian Embassy to the UK and it was the British Parliament’s restaurant that featured Georgian dishes.
"Within the event, people were given an opportunity to sample Georgian national dishes. A large part of these dishes were decided to be maintained on the menu permanently”, the Ministry said.
It added that the Georgian dishes enjoyed great popularity among British lawmakers.
