Georgia’s Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced that 3,442,455 voters have been registered for the municipal elections scheduled for October 21.
The data is as of September 1.
CEC states that in the coming days voters will receive election papers with their name and the district on where they should vote.
The Election administration says that voters can also check whether they are in the election list through the CEC webpage, special mobile and planshet applications and via pay boxes.
The CEC web page is adapted for the blind and deaf and for those having eyesight and hearing complications.
CEC stated that 3,634 District Election Commissions have already been formed and the commission heads, deputy heads and secretaries have been elected with the presence of local and foreign observes, media and opposition parties’ representatives.
On October 21, Georgian citizens will elect 2,058 members of 64 city councils and 64 municipal mayors.
