A new internationally branded 5-star hotel will open in Georgia's west will open in the country's third largest city, Kutaisi.
Leading American hospitality company Marriott International will open a 100-room Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Kutaisi.
Representatives of the Courtyard by Marriott and Georgian businessman Temur Chkonia signed a Memorandum of Cooperation today in Kutaisi City Hall.
Per the deal, Chkonia, who already owns Georgian Hotel Palace and Solomon hotels in Georgia, will build a new hotel in Kutaisi, which will be managed by the Courtyard by Marriott.
The new hotel will be located in the centre of the city, on Aghmashenebeli Avenue.
A total of 13 million GEL (about $5.26m/€4.40m*) will be invested in the project.
As Kutaisi Mayor Shota Murghulia stated this would be one of the largest investments made in Kutaisi in recent years.
