Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili has participated in the international economic forum in Krynica-Zdroj, Poland.
Margvelashvili participated in the presidential session together with the Polish and Macedonian Presidents.

He talked about the challenges facing Europe and the possible enlargement of the European Union.
Margvelashvili stressed that the thought that Russian aggression started in Georgia only in 2008 is wrong. He said that it started back in the 90’s when Georgia regained its independence and voiced its European choice and Russia punished the country for this.

Margvelashvili also said that Georgia wants to go through the process of its European and Euro-Atlantic integration as fast as possible.
He added that Georgia attaches much importance in sharing te experiences of Poland and the Baltic States with regards to EU integration.
"Georgia belongs to the European family”, he said, adding that it is a historic goal of the nation to integrate with the West.

The Economic Forum in Krynica is the largest conference in Central and Eastern Europe. Every year the Forum, organized at the beginning of September, brings more than 3000 guests. These are political, economic and social leaders as well as about 500 journalists. The guests come from over 60 countries in Europe, Asia and America.
