A small Georgian village near the country's joint border with Armenia and Azerbaijan is gearing up to host this year's One Caucasus Festival celebrating the region's creative and cultural life.

Bands and artists from over 15 countries of South Caucasus, Europe, Asia, Africa and North America will bring their talent to the event that has hosted over 6,000 music enthusiasts since 2014.

Setting up in the village of Tserakvi near the southern Georgian city of Marneuli, participants will be entertained by artists over four days of shows starting August 24.

Our aim is [...] to create an inspirational and safe space to foster the meetings and collaboration of young people from the entire Caucasus region", said the release for this year's event.

Organisers also promise a cinema stage, crafts fair, workshops and kids zone for attendees as well as a "multi-functional One Caucasus Town co-created by architects, volunteers and locals".

Performers including Polish band Psio Crew, Armenia's Vishup Ensemble and Infest from Georgia will present their talents on the festival's Main Stage and Sound Zone.

Established in 2014, the festival boasts partners including the Ministry of Culture of Poland and the French Institute in Georgia.

While shows by over 110 artists have entertained audiences visiting at the event since its launch, organisers have also worked for local social and economic causes including an all-year Informal Educational Program for villages of Marneuli.
