Ukrainian President visits Georgia

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has arrived in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi today with his family and a delegation composed of state figures and businesspeople.
Poroshenko will pay a three-day state visit to Georgia upon the invitation of Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili.
Margvelashvili will host an official welcome ceremony for Poroshenko tomorrow, on July 18, at the Avlabari Presidential residence.

After the ceremony the two Presidents will meet face-to-face, then in an enlarged format and afterwards they will make statements for the media.
During his visit to Georgia Poroshenko will meet with Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili and Parliament Speaker Irakli Kobakhidze.
Poroshenko will also participate in a Georgia-Ukraine Business Forum with Ukrainian businesspeople in Tbilisi.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, who arrived in Georgia late yesterday with his family and a delegation, told Georgia’s president Giorgi Margvelashvili today that he feels at home in Georgia. "The atmosphere here is friendly. Our countries are striving for freedom and democracy as we are victims of Russia’s violence,” Poroshenko stated.
Georgia has hosted a Georgian-Ukrainian Business Forum, seeking to attract more investments from Ukraine and deepen the bilateral cooperation.
Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko visited the occupation line in Georgia’s eastern Khurvaleti village, located near the country’s occupied Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) region.Poroshenko viewed the area with Georgia’s President Giorgi Margvelashvili early in the morning and stressed the line was a "gap between past and future.”
Georgia supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine within its internationally-recognized borders and condemns the so-called referendum conducted in Crimea four years ago, Georgian Foreign Ministry said in a statement released today on the fourth anniversary of the annexation of the Crimea.
