An emotional video and photos went viral today depicting how rescuers used a helicopter to save two men standing on only one safe place in a raging river.

As reported by two locals of Khabume village in the country’s western Samegrelo region, the two men were gathering firewood at the bank of the Khobi River when instantly water surged and they appeared surrounded by raging waves.

It appeared impossible for them to reach land by themselves and they phoned the emergency service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Since rescuers couldn’t get into the water due to the high danger they used a helicopter to save the individuals.
