American companies will have an opportunity to learn more about trade and investment opportunities for United States (US) businesses in Georgia.

US Ambassador to Georgia Ian Kelly will host a Direct Line webinar for US companies interested in exporting to and investing in Georgia next month.

The webinar will take place on Monday, July 18 at 10:00 AM (EDT) – 6:00 PM (Georgia Time).

In his video chat, Kelly will highlight the potential Georgia offers in the infrastructure, agricultural, energy, technology, tourism, and manufacturing sectors.

"Located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, Georgia is positioned to capitalise on increasing trade flows between Europe, the Caspian region, Central Asia, and East Asia,” the US Embassy said as it announced the date of the webinar today.

The webinar is free and will also provide important information about the upcoming US Department of Commerce Certified Trade Mission to Georgia and Azerbaijan.

Companies interested in participating should register at www.state.gov/directline by Wednesday July 14, 2017. The event is limited to the first 100 registrants.
