Interior Ministry and State Security Service conduct joint exercise

Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Security Service conducted a joint exercise today against terrorism, organized crime and Chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) threats.

The exercise aimed at enhancing coordination between relevant units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and State Security Service, boosting operation and management efficiency and improving public security control as well as promoting fight against crime.

Upon the conclusion of the exercise, special equipment, weapons and various types of equipment were exhibited for the guests of the event.

The exercise was attended by the Minister of Internal Affairs-Giorgi Mgebrishvili, Head of State Security Service- Vakhtang Gomelauri, representatives of embassies accredited in Georgia and diplomatic corps, as well as other officials.
