Bloomberg forecasts 3% economic growth in Georgia in 2016

Georgia’s economy will grow and reach three percent in 2016, says Bloomberg.

This information was published by Georgia’s Finance Ministry yesterday.

Georgia will experience a higher economic growth this year than other countries in the region, forecasted Bloomberg.

The 2016 Economic Growth Forecast by Bloomberg ranked Georgia in 23d place among 93 countries after the country gained three percent economic growth.

Bloomberg said Gross Domestic Product (GDP) will make three percent growth in Georgia, Turkey, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania and the United Arab Emirates.

In general, the ranking was headed by India with the GDP growth of 7.4 percent and China with 6.5 percent growth.

Meanwhile, the ranking was negative for Russia. Bloomberg forecasted Russia’s GDP will be - 0.5 percent this year.

As for Georgia’s neighboring countries GDP will grow 2.5 percent in Armenia, 2.4 percent in Azerbaijan, two percent in Kazakhstan.

Meanwhile, economy will grow by 1.4 percent in Ukraine.

The World Bank Group has also published information about GDP growth in Georgia. The World Bank Group expected Georgia's economic growth to hit three percent in 2016, 4.5 percent in 2017 and five percent in 2018.
