Muslims in Georgia are rejoicing today as they mark the birthday of the Messenger of Islam, Prophet Muhammad.
Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili congratulated the country’s Muslim citizens on the holiday in a written statement released this evening.
It is difficult to find any other country in the world where there is such great friendship between representatives of different confessions,” the PM said.
We are building our country together and I believe we will continue to live together with love and respect in the future.”
Kvirikashvili wished for peace, good health and welfare for Georgia’s Muslims and said "I’m joining your celebration”.
