Tbilisi budget 2017: Over 800m GEL for Georgia’s capital

The 2017 budget for Tbilisi City Hall is over 800 million GEL.

Tbilisi Mayor David Narmania today announced the preliminary budget for 2017 and said intensive discussions about next year's budget for Tbilisi City Hall will start next month.

Narmania said the priorities while planning the budget will be building more kindergartens, infrastructural development and transforming Tbilisi into a more green, ecologically-friendly city.

The main parameters for next year’s budget are already determined. The major projects and programs are already created,” he said.

Plans also included developing roads and maintaining the historic districts of Tbilisi.
