Georgia is committed to its pro-Western aspirations, says Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili.
The Georgian high official met Vice President of the European People’s Party (EPP) David McAllister in Georgia’s capital Tbilisi this afternoon.
The PM confirmed Georgia had a firm pro-European course and this course had been chosen by the people of Georgia.

Kvirikashvili stressed since 2012 Georgia had implemented "complex reforms” to boost human rights, rule of law and democracy.
The talk touched on Georgia’s visa liberalisation and Kvirikashvili said he hoped the European Parliament would fully support Georgia being granted a visa-free regime with Schengen countries.
The two officials also spoke about the Parliamentary Elections in Georgia scheduled for October 8, 2016.
We welcome and look forward to as many observers as possible including those from the European Parliament too,” Kvirikashvili told McAllister.
The Georgian leader stressed it was his Government’s priority to hold free, transparent and democratic elections.
