Georgian tennis player Ekaterine Gorgodze won an International Tennis Federation tournament in Turkey on Sunday, with fellow Georgian Sofia Kvatsabaia also featured in the competition's main draw.
Drawn as No.2 at the Babolat Cup held in Turkey's resort city Antalya, Gorgodze overcame four opponents on her way to the final where she faced Bulgaria's Viktoriya Tomova.
The Georgian then cruised to victory with a score 6-4, 6-0 against Tomova, taking the tournament with a $10,000 prize money.
It was Gorgodze's fourth Antalya singles title over the last five years.
Another Georgian player Sofia Kvatsabaia was eliminated in round 1 after losing 6-3, 6-7, 7-5 to Romania's Cristina Adamescu.
The two Georgians also featured in the tournament's doubles, overcoming three opposing teams before succumbing to the duo of Hungary's Agnes Bukta and Austria's Julia Grabher 1-6, 6-4, 11-9.
Gorgodze and Kvatsabaia will feature at another $10,000 tournament in Antalya, facing Yana Morderger of Germany and Chiara Grimm of Switzerland respectively.
