US financial institutions want to invest in Georgia

American financial institutions are showing their interest in investing in Georgia.

As part of his United States (US) visit, Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili met representatives of leading US financial institutions in New York yesterday.

Following the meeting the PM’s press office said the US was interested in investing in three fields: 

  • Healthcare;
  • Transport; and
  • Finance.

Kvirikashvili presented his Government’s four-point reform plan to the US officials and talked about his future priorities before answering questions of the financial institutions’ representatives.

At the meeting Georgia’s position as the leading reformer state and its potential were stressed,” the PM’s press office said.

Representatives of 15 financial institutions were presented at the meeting.
