"France encourages ongoing reforms in Georgia,” said Georgia’s Justice Minister after meeting the French State Minister for State Reform and Simplification.
Georgia’s Thea Tsulukiani and France’s Thierry Mandon met in Paris today, where the Georgian Minister is paying a visit. The two officials discussed ways to enhance the two countries’ future partnership in electronic governance.
Mandon also confirmed his participation in the Open Government Partnership (OGP) Europe Regional Conference, which will take place in Tbilisi, Georgia on June 3 and 4.
The Georgian capital will host the event after the country was elected as an OGP Steering Committee member last year.
Meanwhile after the Paris meeting, Tsulukiani said she discussed with the French official how her Ministry had transformed old rural libraries into modern Community Centres while the libraries were reconstructed and public services were obtained with a single-window principle.
"Thierry Mandon supports Georgia’s reforms that bring progress as he is the one who leads a number of bold reforms in the fields of e-governance and public services’ availability in France,” the Georgian Justice Minister said.
She added in these fileds Georgia and France had a lot to share and learn from each other.
