Georgia’s President Giorgi Margvelashvili is hosting Estonian Prime Minister Taavi Roivas at his Presidential Palace in Tbilisi today.
Earlier today the pair met and discussed the two countries' bilateral relations as well as the implementation of Georgia’s Association Agreement (AA) signed with the European Union (EU) on June 2014. At the meeting the leaders also discussed issues relating to Georgia’s occupied territories and about the current situation in Ukraine.
President Margvelashvili also paid special attention to Georgia's future prospects at the upcoming Eastern Partnership Summit in Riga.
Margvelashvili thanked Estonia for its support at last September's NATO Summit in Wales, where Georgia receive a special package of cooperation from the Alliance.
The Estonian official will be in Georgian for a two-day official visit. Before his meeting with President Margvelashvili, the Estonian PM attended the Georgian-Estonian Business Forum.
