Georgian mezzo-soprano Anita Rachvelishvili will perform in one of the world’s most renowned classical music festivals in Salzburg, the hometown of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
On March 31 and April 3, Rachvelishvili will participate in the Salzburg Easter Festival in Austria and perform in Giuseppe Verdi’s Messa Da Requiem opera alongside Jonas Kaufmann, who is regarded as one of the most illustrious tenors of our time.
The Georgian singer went online to express her happiness to be cast alongside Kaufmann.

She first performed with Kauffman in 2009 at the opening night of the La Scala season in 2009.
At the time she sang the title role in Carmen opposite Kaufmann, who played as Don José. This performance was the young artist’s first leading role.
