A video has been released online in a bid to change society’s current perception that it’s acceptable to litter in Georgia.

Georgia’s Environment Protection Ministry launched a new social advertising campaign that features parkour boys removing garbage from Tbilisi streets in a bid to encourage citizens not to litter.

The main idea of the campaign is that it’s not acceptable to litter in Georgia, and if you see rubbish, pick it up and put it in the rubbish bin.

The social movement launched earlier this month and included several short online video clips where a number of Georgian sportsmen call on society not to purposely pollute the environment.

Georgia enforced tougher penalties for littering in January 2015. According to the new law, those who litter can face a fine anywhere from 50 GEL to 5,000 GEL.
