Georgia and Israel have celebrated the opening of a new hotel in Tbilisi with a special gift from Israeli investors to the Georgian National Museum (GNM).
The National Museum - the state organisation managing individual museum venues across Georgia - received a four-storey building from the Israel-Georgia Chamber of Business.
The occasion took place at the presentation of the newly opened Rixos Tbilisi Hotel earlier today.
The 3,000 square metre space will be in possession of the GNM and used for exposition and archive purposes.
Attended by Georgian and foreign officials as well as management of the Rixos Hotel project, the occasion featured Deputy Minister of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia Levan Kharatishvili and Georgian National Museum General Director David Lordkipanidze.
Earlier this year Georgian investors contributed funds for the project of a Rixos Hotel location in Jerusalem within a joint business forum held in Israel in August.
The newly launched Hotel will open its doors to guests on the Gudiashvili St in Georgia's capital.
