High quality wine at a low price – this is what wine lovers will get when they drink 2013 Pheasant’s Tears Rkatsiteli wine from Georgia, writes world famous business media outlet Bloomberg.

Journalist and wine critic Elin McCoy published an online story on the Bloomberg website that listed the 50 best wines under $50 USD (about 120 GEL), hailing from all parts of the world. She compiled her list after travelling and tasting a vast assortment of wines throughout 2015.

"Fermented on grape skins like a red, this delicious apricot white from the Republic of Georgia is an ‘orange’ wine aged in clay amphora [jars],” wrote McCoy about the Georgian wine.

A bottle of 2013 Pheasant’s Tears Rkatsiteli wine cost $20 USD (about 48 GEL).

"I am always asked if I drink inexpensive wines. Of course, I do – if the wines are really good. Happily, I can report that it is easier than ever to buy great stuff without spending a fortune,” she added.
