Georgia’s Prime Minister begins Bulgaria visit

Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has left for the Bulgarian capital Sofia today, where he will be welcomed by Prime Minister Boyko Borissov.

Georgia and Bulgaria are intensifying bilateral relations.

Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has left for the Bulgarian capital Sofia today, where he will be welcomed by Prime Minister Boyko Borissov.

The two leaders will sign a Memorandum of Cooperation in the area of European and Euro-Atlantic integration between the governments of Bulgaria and Georgia.

The two countries will also sign a deal regarding cooperation in the agricultural sector.

The signing ceremonies will be followed by a joint press conference where Garibashvili and Borissov are due to speak to media.

While in Sofia, the Georgian PM will also meet Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev.

Garibashvili was accompanied to Bulgaria by Georgia’s Foreign Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili and Agriculture Minister Otar Danelia.
