Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and United Nations (UN) Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon have discussed regional security issues at at face-to-face meeting in the United States (US) on Friday.
The meeting was part of the Georgian PM’s eight-day US visit in connection with the 70th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA).

The importance of restoring trust between Georgians with Abkhazians and South Ossetians was stressed at the meeting.
"The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere,” the PM’s press office said.
The pair also talked about the importance of deepening relations between Georgia and the UN.
With this meeting Garibashvili wrapped up his US visit and he will return home later today.
