Wine lovers across the Unites States of America (USA) can now enjoy the best of Georgian wines available in their own country.
Dave McIntyre, columnist for The Washington Post, recommended consumers five Georgian wines to try.
"Here are some wines from Georgia to seek out, including a stunningly good saperavi red and some delightfully good values. Taste a little history while enjoying something new,” McIntyre wrote.
His list included Jakeli Saperavi Unfiltered Dry Red 2012, Orgo Saperavi 2013, Teliani Valley Tsinandali 2013, Orgo Kisi 2013 and Pheasant’s Tears Rkatsiteli 2013.
Each wine was accompanied with a brief description of how it was produced and what it tasted like and also with the place where it was available in the US.
Earlier, British media outlet The Independent published a list of thirteen best orange wines in the world; two of them were Georgian.
The list included Ramaz Nikoladze Tsolikouri 2013 and Tbilvino Qvevris 2011, with the latter topping the list.
