Georgia’s polyphonic choir Shvidkatsa performs in London in September

The United Kingdom audience is being given the opportunity to enjoy Georgian polyphonic singing at a special performance in London.
Next month Georgia’s outstanding polyphonic choir Shvidkatsa will perform at Southwark Cathedral of the city.
Concerts are scheduled for September 17, 18, 19 in London.
The Georgian choir has performed traditional Georgian songs, as well as urban songs and church hymns for 12 years.
Shvidkatsa is a choir of the Holy Trinity Cathedral and consists of seven male singers who sing in harmony.
Georgia’s capital Tbilisi will host over a dozen local and foreign vocal ensembles for this year’s Tbilisi Choral Music International Festival starting this Thursday.
Nearly 20,000 fans attending the National Basketball Association (NBA) match between Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday were treated to a performance of the United States anthem by Georgia’s polyphonic choir Shvidkatsa.
