Georgia’s Foreign Minister Tamar Beruchashvili has left for the United States (US) for her first working visit.
During her four-day stay in the US, Beruchashvili will meet US Vice President Joe Biden as part of the Eastern European Foreign Ministers’ meeting.
She will also meet US high officials from executive and legislative branches as well as representatives of the US’s leading research centres and media. The main topics expected to be discussed during Beruchashvili’s visit to the US are:
In addition, the Georgian Foreign Minister will give a speech at the Atlantic Council conference Transatlantic Strategy for Eastern Europe.
Beruchashvili will also participate in a discussion organised by the US Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).
The Minister is expected to return to Georgia on February 4.
