Tbilisi sends birthday wishes to US President Obama

The 44th President of the United States of America (USA) Barack Obama is celebrating his 54th birthday today and on the auspicious occasion he received warm wishes from Tbilisi.

Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili was one of many world leaders who congratulated Obama by sending a letter to the White House with birthday greetings.

Let me seize this opportunity to convey our profound gratitude to the US and to you personally for your extensive and enduring support of my country, and for the constant and unwavering backing of Georgia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, democratic development and Euro-Atlantic aspirations,” read the congratulation letter published by the Press Office of Georgia’s PM on August 4.

PM IraGaribashvili also sent birthday wishes to the American leader via his official Twitter account:

Head of the Georgian Government thanked the US Administration for its support and contribution to Georgia’s "process of building a strong and consolidated democracy”.

"Let me add that we very much admire your leadership and vision, both of which are critical in spearheading the global pursuit for democracy, stability, and security,” underlined the Georgian Prime Minister in his letter.
