Georgia’s most renowned ski resort, Gudauri, will soon offer summer attractions to its visitors.

The Georgian Mountain Resorts Development Company and the Georgian National Tourism Administration has teamed up with Alliance of Slovenia to begin construction of bike trails in the mountain resort area for the purpose of developing summer tourism at the winter resort.

Georgia’s other leading winter resort Bakuriani has already established five bicycle paths; these opened on July 1 and are already popular with tourists.

The bicycle trails with total length of 4790 meters in Gudauri will be constructed near the gondola and bike path users will be able to use the mountain lifts for 10 GEL per day.

Those behind the initiative said the bicycle path would be ready to use on August 9.
