The Chief Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia is continuing to cooperate with international institutions and honour those who contribute to the country's development.
The Office said it wanted to express its gratitude to the US Embassy and one of its employees for its contribution to the development of the Prosecutor’s Office, and its readiness for further cooperation.
In this regard, Deputy Chief Prosecutor Giorgi Gogadze awarded Police Adviser of the United States (US) Embassy State Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs Michael Wilson a certificate of appreciation and a symbolic gift for his contribution to the development of Georgia's Chief Prosecutor’s Office, announced the Procuracy of Georgia.
In 2014 a number of US Embassy-organised trainings, in which Wilson was actively involved, were held for Georgian prosecutors that covered issues including interrogation and interviewing witnesses and investigation of domestic crime.
Also last year, under the direct supervision of Wilson, Georgian prosecutors passed a six-week training course of criminal law instructors, where the US official shared his experience of in the methods of investigating common crimes.
