For those wanting to travel to new places without spending too much, Georgia is one of the best destinations to explore, says a United Kingdom-based website, who ranked Georgia among the countries with the lowest cost of living in the world.

Website www.MoveHub.com created a map showing the difference in living costs around the world using figures from the world's largest database of user contributed data about cities and countries worldwide.

Georgia ranked 13th on the list of cheapest countries, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 39.56.

The CPI was used to determine the difference in the living costs between countries takes into account the prices of groceries, transportation, restaurants and utilities.

The CPI in the www.MoveHub.com infographic was a relative indicator of a country's living costs compared to New York. So, for example, if a country had a CPI of 70, on average it enjoyed 30 percent cheaper living costs compared to New York.

In the infographic, the top three most expensive countries in terms of cost of living were Switzerland, Norway and Venezuela, while the cheapest were India, Nepal and Pakistan.

Last year Georgia ranked second in the Top 15 Cheap, Safe and Friendly Countries in the world report by World Economic Forum.
