Georgia’s President Giorgi Margvelashvili believes the meeting between US President Barack Obama and Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Garibahsvili is a sign of the United States’ support toward Georgian democracy and independence.
"It was very important the President of the United States of America, Barack Obama, joined the meeting with the Georgian delegation and the Prime Minister. This is one more sign that during this most difficult situation within our region, the U.S. firmly and clearly expressed its support to our democracy, sovereignty, and independence,” Margvelashvili said.
He added for Georgia the meeting was a reason to be hopeful.
