Georgian mixed martial arts fighters have dedicated their victory at the world’s top competition to Ukraine and the Euromaidan.

The Georgian team took third place at the Mixed Martial Arts World Cup in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The national team gained four medals and the athletes said it was all for Ukraine.

"We are with you, we will win,” said the Georgian fighters in an address to Ukraine.

"Our brothers, Ukrainians, do not give up. Today, you are fighting for our freedom too! Do not let the evil force win over you. Long live Ukraine! Georgia is with you!,” read the message spread by the President of the Georgian Mixed Martial Arts Federation, Mamuka Mamulashvili.

The Euromaidan is a wave of ongoing demonstrations and civil unrest in Ukraine, which began on the night of November 21, 2013, with public protests demanding closer European integration.
