Secretary General of the Council of Europe will take part in an official visit to Georgia on February 6.
Information about Thorbjørn Jagland’s upcoming visit was announced by the first deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs David Zalkaniani at a briefing today.
The main purpose of his visit is to officially present the Council of Europe’s Action plan to Georgia officials and highlight the country’s involvement in the plan.
Topics expected to be discussed with the Georgian Government involve human rights, democracy and strengthening the rule of law.
