Georgia hosts annual International Animation Film Festival

Georgia’s leading international animation film festival is gearing up to feature more than a hundred films from about 40 countries.

Animation films from all over the globe will be presented in Tofuzi - Georgia's annual International Festival of Animated Film, which this year celebrated its 6th anniversary.

The festival will begin on October 6 and end on October 11, in which 105 films from 38 countries will be shown at venues in Khulo, Shuakhevi, Keda and Batumi, in Georgia’s western Adjara region.

At the conclusion of the event major prizes will be awarded in numerous categories, including Best Film for Adults, Best Children’s Film, Best Film Created by Children, Best Experimental Film, Best TV Series, Best Debut and Best Student Film.

The winners will be selected by an international jury while the winner of the Best Children’s Film will be selected by a jury of children from Khuli, Shuakhevi, Keda and Batumi.

As well as watching the festival’s featured films, guests can also participate in workshops, master classes and various cultural events.

The festival was organised by the Animation Development Fund and was open to every filmmaker, director, producer and spectator from all over the world, to visit and present their works.
