The 32th Baptism by Patriarch on St. Nicholas Day

The first church, dedicated to Saint Nicholas was built in Georgia in the beginning of 13th century.

The Georgian Orthodox Church celebrates St. Nicholas Day on the 19th of December. On this occasion, more than 700 children will be baptized by the Georgian Patriarch Ilia II in the Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi at 5:00 pm.

It  will be the 32th Baptism by Patriarch Ilia II.

The Divine Liturgy was served in every Orthodox Church of Georgia due to this day.

The 4th century Greek Bishop Saint Nicholas of Myra, known as Nicholas the Wonderworker, is one of the Greatest Saints for both Orthodox and Catholic Christians.

The first church, dedicated to Saint Nicholas, Kintsvisi Monastery was built in Georgia in the beginning of 13thcentury. According to the statistics of the Patriarchy of Georgia, there are five churches in Tbilisi and three Monastery Complex in the other regions of Georgia, dedicated to Nicholas the Wonderworker.
