Night shelters for Vulnerable arranged in Tbilisi

Tbilisi temporary shelters for the homeless hosted the first needy guest which came there at 2 a.m. on December 12. The night shelters for the vulnerable were arranged by the Georgian Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure.

The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia installed cottages near the four tents for the Homeless. There will be kitchens, medical centers, and bathrooms in the cottages.  

The tents are heated with wood-burning stoves and they can accommodate 80 people at a time. The residents will be provided with beds, mattresses, blankets, and electrical access.

As reported, all night long, groups from the Infrastructure Ministry, police, and emergency services had been mobilized at the temporary shelters. The shelter arranging process is being supported by the Defense, Finance, Economy, Healthcare ministries and the Government Chancellery is also participating.

All the charitable, non-governmental organizations or citizens are welcomed to help the people in the shelters if they feel like doing so, as stated by the Infrastructural Ministry. "They can provide food, clothes, or any other necessary things for them, the Ministry stated.
