Georgian Defense Minister visits Israel

Georgian Defense Minister Irakli Alasania met with his Israeli counterpart Moshe Yaalon, within his two-day long official visit to Israel. The sides discussed prospects of military cooperation between the two countries.

"We discussed the future cooperation plan in a military sphere between our countries. We agreed to elaborate a joint cooperation plan within next month on how to develop our relations in various directions. This helps to develop different capabilities between our two countries, as well future cooperation in defense capabilities and military industry, irakli Alasania stated after the meeting.

The Georgian Defense Minister invited Moshe Yaalon to Georgia.  

Within the visit, the Georgian delegation also held meetings with Israel National Security Adviser Yossi Cohen and Head of the Political-Military Bureau of the Minister of Defense, Amos Gilad.
