Tbilisi’s newly launched Art Fair is among five international events to visit this year, joining gatherings from Indonesia to London in a shortlist by TheArtGorgeous.
The Georgian capital’s project to showcase the regional scene, with its maiden edition held last year, has found recognition from reviewers of the art entertainment magazine.

These 5 fairs from all corners of the world focus on underrepresented artists and markets, offer alternative models to the classic art fair structure, or both,” authors of the top five list have noted.
Founded by Kaha Gvelesiani and directed by Eric Schlosser, Tbilisi Art Fair found its place in the selection with its focus on the “underrepresented” emerging scenes of the Caucasus, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East.
Going into its second year, TAF is putting Georgia on the art world map, bringing in more than 8,000 international visitors in its inaugural year,” TheArtGorgeous entry for the Tbilisi event said.
Fairs from Condo London in the United Kingdom to Art X Lagos in West Africa joined the TAF , set to run between 17-19 May, in the list.
