The United States Embassy in Georgia on Wednesday announced it was donating X-ray equipment worth $13 million to the country’s Revenue Service to help enhance border security in the country.

The announcement was made by Ambassador Robin Dunnigan and the Revenue Service Chief Levan Kakava.

The Embassy said Dunnigan also expressed appreciation for the “unwavering efforts” of the Service in combating sanctions evasion and illicit trade.
